Scholarship Overview

Outstanding and exceptional students are invited to apply for Equity and Merit Scholarships for International Master's Students to study at the University of Manchester. Academically outstanding students with the ability to make a substantial contribution to sustainable development in their native countries are eligible for Equity and Merit Scholarships. The prizes are meant for students who would be unable to study in Manchester without a scholarship. We are committed to an equal opportunity policy, and all applications are evaluated on their merit. Women are especially encouraged to apply.

The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals chart a course toward a better, more sustainable future for everybody. The Equity and Merit Scholarships seek to equip young professionals in the Global South with the skills necessary to bring solutions to these interconnected aims.
