Scholarship Overview

The Malaysian Government is dedicated to providing affordable education to its citizens and foreign nationals through scholarships. There are currently ongoing Government Scholarship openings 2023 for the international students of ASEAN countries. The scholarships are an excellent initiative to attract and provide support to brilliant students who are willing to further their education in Malaysian public and private universities.

The Malaysian Government scholarships normally cover living expenses, tuition fees, travel or ticket expenses, accommodation, and VISA expenses. Applicants are advised to investigate the approximate living expenses in Malaysia before proceeding to apply for any scholarship.

To be eligible, the following are required:

  • The age limit for a Master’s degree is 40 and age limit for a Ph.D. degree is 45.
  •  A minimum CGPA  of 3.5 for bachelor's degree is needed to apply for the Master’s degree and a minimum CGPA  of 3.5 for  master's degree is needed for a Ph.D degree
  • An english language proficiency proof.
  • A written research proposal of at least 1,000 words in the relevant field.
