Scholarship Overview

The DAAD Scholarship is a prominent scholarship scheme which provides support to over 100,000 local and international students. The scholarships are fully-funded and are available for applicants of all levels (Masters, PhD degrees) and academic fields. The DAAD scholarships are available in designated Universities. 

Depending on the program and field, a master's degree is expected to be completed within a period of 12-24 months whilst a PhD program is expected to last for up to 36 months. Within these periods, the students are provided with all the necessary funds and support to help them successfully complete their programs.

  • Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
  • Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
  • Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg
  • Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg

Field(s)/Level(s):

A master's or a PhD degree in the following areas;

  • Master of Science in International Health (Heidelberg)
  • Master of Science in Global Urban Health
  • Master of Science in International Health (Berlin), etc.

Scholarship Value:

The scholarship value includes;

  • Full tuition fees
  • Monthly stipend 
  • Monthly payments of 850 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates
  • Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover
  • Travel Allowance

Eligibility:

The eligibility requirements are;

  • All students around the world are eligible
  • Applicant should have a bachelor's degree
  • Applicant should have at least two years of professional experience
  • English Language proficiency test results
  • Professional letter of recommendation from your employer
  • Academic letters of recommendation
