Scholarship Overview
DALHOUSIE University is seeking excellent applicants for DALHOUSIE University President's Awards for Canadian and international students wishing to enroll in the University's PhD programs. The President's Awards are meant to reward students who have received large scholarships from the Killam doctoral or Tri-agency doctoral contests for their outstanding academic achievements. The grant will pay tuition for a full-time program for up to two years, minus incidental expenses. The President's Awards award is available to candidates who have received a full PhD scholarship from one of the financing categories: NSERC (PGSD, CGSD, Vanier CGS), SSHRC (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS), CIHR (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS), Killam (Doctoral).

Eligibility
Eligible candidates must meet the following:
- Candidates must be either native or overseas students.
- The award will be given for each semester (up to a maximum of six semesters) that you are:
Within the first four years of your program, you must be enrolled as a full-time student. - Full tuition payment (i.e., not continuing fees)
- Receiving a full doctoral scholarship from one of the organizations listed
- Tuition is not funded by any other scholarship, agency, or government program.
- Applicants who have received a full PhD scholarship from one of the following financing programs:
- SSHRC NSERC (PGSD, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
- (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
- CIHR (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
- Killam (Doctoral)

Application Instructions
There is no need to apply. If you fulfill the above-mentioned qualifying standards, you will be immediately considered for one of the President's Awards. Following your admission, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will tell you and your department if you have been selected for an award. For the length of the award, the reward will be confirmed and applied to your tuition each term.
